About Khushu

Your quiet prayer companion, not an imam. You lead your own prayer; Khushu keeps your pace and recites along, so you can read surahs you haven't memorized yet and stay present in your salah.

Quiet and clean

  • No sign-up required. No email, password or phone number. Your settings stay on your own phone, between you and your Creator.
  • Ad-free. No banners, videos or pop-ups. A calm space for prayer, not for selling things.
  • Easy on the eyes. Calm dark themes for dim rooms and soft light themes for daytime, with a text size you choose.

What is inside

  • Guided salah: Salah Studio on the home page leads every step from takbir to salam, at the pace you set.
  • Prayer times: today's times and the next prayer — open prayer times.
  • Qibla: a compass pointing to the Kaaba — open Qibla.
  • Hijri calendar: today's Islamic date and the sacred days — open the calendar. The date also sits at the top of the home page.
  • Quran, duas and tasbeeh: Quran reader, dua library, tasbeeh counter and your prayer journal.
  • Photo scanning: in Salah Studio, tap Add personal dua, then Photo to take a picture or pick one, and the dua is read from it.
  • English, Urdu or Arabic: tap the EN · اردو · عربي switch at the top of any screen.

Your privacy stays on your phone

  • Khushu has no accounts, no tracking and no ads. Your prayer choices, your own duas, Quran bookmarks, tasbeeh counts and location are kept only in your phone's own storage.
  • Photos you scan to add a dua are read on your phone itself — the picture is never uploaded or saved.
  • Clearing the app's data or uninstalling removes everything. Nobody, including us, can see what you read or recite. Your worship stays between you and Allah.

Sadaqah Jariyah pledge

Khushu is a non-profit companion. If donations are ever accepted, they first cover running costs (store fees and hosting); anything left is given to verified charitable causes.

A gentle reminder

Khushu helps you read and keep your pace. It does not replace learning the prayer from people of knowledge. If something looks wrong, please send us a message.
